Permission to Publish Moving or Photographic Images

In order that the Highfield Leadership Academy/Tauheedul Education Trust/LEA may publish any moving or photographic images of any pupil e.g. photographs from productions for view on academy premises or to be published in Academy/Tauheedul Education Trust/LEA publications and on our website etc, permission is required from an appropriate parent/guardian.
We therefore request in writing, if you do not wish your child’s photograph to be published in printed publications or being viewed on websites produced by Highfield Leadership Academy/Tauheedul Education Trust/LEA.

 How we use your information – Data Protection Act 1998

Highfield Leadership Academy is a Data Controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act. We collect information about our pupils and may receive information about them from their previous school or academy and the Learning Records Service. We hold this personal data and use it to:

· Support the teaching and learning of our pupils;

· Monitor and report on their progress;

· Provide appropriate pastoral care, and

· Assess how well the academy is doing.

This information includes pupil contact details, national curriculum assessment results, attendance information and personal characteristics such as ethnic group, special educational needs and any relevant medical information.

If a pupil is enrolling for post 14 qualifications we will be provided with their unique learner number by the Learning Records Service and may also obtain from them details of any learning or qualifications they have undertaken.

We will not give information about our pupils to anyone outside of the academy without your consent unless the law and our rules allow us to.

We are required by law to pass some pupil information to the Local Authority and the Department for Education (DfE)
